Here is my first etching for about 15 years. I'd forgotten how much fun it is, and would like to continue printmaking for some time. This image is from an earlier drawing of girls sitting in Starbucks, which is on this blog, labelled 'Teenagers'. The plate (zinc metal) is only 10.8 x 8.2cm and uses aquatint, white spirit brushwork and stylus. I'm posting another print made on monday 24th May, and will explain the process for those of you who aren't familiar with intaglio (etching) printmaking.
